I often see artworks shared on REMX by artists who use AI in their process labelling the work as only “Illustration” or ”painting” but omitting the label “AI” As a collector and as an artists I think it is misleading to omit “AI” in the labelling, I like to know if the art Im collecting and tipping is generated thru an LLM or actually physically handcrafted. It informs my personal appreciation of the piece (not that I dont like AI art in itself, but there is a difference in artistic involvement, to me, between someone drawing in some amazing details and someone generating and refining a prompt for some amazing details). AI is an accepted art form so theres no need to hide the fact that its used and the label is there for transparency. I know it is a polarising topic in some senses, and hard to get consensus on but I think it is important and at the very least should be tabled in a discussion.
